作者简介:
哈金，美籍华裔作家，用英文创作。1956年生于中国东北，14岁参军，1977年考入黑龙江大学英语系，并于1985年于山东大学取得美国文学硕士学位，并于次年赴美攻读博士学位。现为美国波士顿大学英语系教授，主要教授创意写作、移民文学和诗歌学方面的课程。其《战争垃圾》、《等待》等小说作品，在美国主流社会引起巨大的反响和赞誉，曾两度入围普利策小说奖，并荣获美国国家图书奖等诸多奖项。可以说是当下国际文坛上最受瞩目的华人作者（没有之一）——他所斩获的奖项连美国本土作家都望及项背。
