库尔特•冯内古特（Kurt Vonnegut，1922—2007），美国黑色幽默作家，美国黑色幽默文学的代表人物之一。代表作有《囚鸟》《五号屠宰场》《没有国家的人》。他的作品以喜剧形式表现悲剧内容，在灾难、荒诞、绝望面前发出笑声。这种“黑色幽默”风格始终是冯内古特小说创作的重要特质。2007年4月11日，于曼哈顿因病逝世。
译者简介
董乐山，1946年毕业于上海圣约翰大学英国文学系，长期从事新闻、翻译、教学和研究工作。中国作家协会会员、中国笔会中心会员、中国美国文学研究会常务理事、中国翻译工作者协会理事、中国三S研究会副会长。主要译作有《第三帝国的兴亡》《西行漫记》《美国梦》《囚鸟》《一九八四》等，并编有《美国社会知识辞典》，以及论述翻译的著作《译余废墨》。他创作的小说《傅正业教授的颠倒世界》曾译载于美国著名文艺刊物《巴黎评论》。
