作者简介:
彼得·凯里(Pete r carey)，1943年生于墨尔本市郊小镇，曾在大学学习化学，未及毕业改做广告设计，后游历欧洲并转向文学创作，现居住在纽约。
凯里是当代澳大利亚文学领军人物，作品已被翻译成二十多种文字。是世界惟一的两位二度荣获布克奖的作家之一，另一位则是南非的诺贝尔文学奖得主库切。因此有评论家预言，凯里将是诺贝尔文学奖最有力的竞争者。凯里的作品怪诞、幽默，具有寓言式小说和科幻小说的特征。
