埃斯特•迪弗洛(Esther Duflo)，美国麻省理工学院经济系阿卜杜勒•拉蒂夫•贾米尔扶贫与发展经济学教授；曾就读于法国巴黎高等师范学院和美国麻省理工学院；获大量荣誉：2010年度约翰•贝茨•克拉克奖，2009年度麦克阿瑟“天才”奖学金，《经济学人》杂志“八大杰出经济学家”之一，《外交政策》杂志“百位最具影响力思想家”之一，《财富》杂志2010年“40位40岁以下”最具影响力的企业领导人之一。2003年，班纳吉和迪弗洛联合创建阿卜杜勒•拉蒂夫•贾米尔贫困行动实验室（J-PAL），并一直共同为该实验室提供指导。J-PAL实验室的任务是确保扶贫政策的制定基于科学依据，从而减少贫困人口。J-PAL实验室的研究成果已赢得国际认可，获西班牙毕尔巴鄂比斯开银行年度“知识前沿”奖。
